Limitation of Use and Medical Disclaimer

  • Not a Medical Device: You acknowledge that Sentronica and the Sentinel software do not constitute a medical device, nor do they provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. The Sentinel platform is strictly a secondary data visualization tool.
  • Not for Lifesaving Purposes: Sentronica Sentinel is not intended for lifesaving purposes. It must not be relied upon for critical monitoring where the failure or inaccuracy of data could lead to death, personal injury, or severe physical or environmental damage.
  • Dosing and Treatment: Users agree that they will not use the data displayed on the Sentinel interface for dosing decisions (e.g., insulin administration). All treatment decisions must be based on the primary glucose monitoring device (e.g., Dexcom, Libre, or fingerstick meter) as prescribed by a physician.
  • Data Integrity and Latency: You understand that data transmission to wearable devices is subject to technical limitations, including Bluetooth range, battery life, internet connectivity, and background process restrictions. Sentronica does not guarantee real-time accuracy or continuous availability of data. We are not responsible for any adverse health events resulting from a reliance on the data displayed on this software.

Sentronica ("we," "us," or "our") operates the "Sentinel: CGM Monitor" mobile and Wear OS application (the "App"). We are committed to protecting the privacy of your health data.

2. Data We Collect

The App collects and processes the following types of data to function:

  • Health Data: Continuous Glucose Monitor (CGM) readings fetched from your connected sources (Dexcom, Nightscout, or xDrip+).
  • Location Data (Optional): If you use the "Input Snapshot" feature to log events, we may capture your location to provide context for your history logs. This data is stored locally or sent to your personal Nightscout instance; Sentronica does not track your location.
  • Account Information: Your email address is used for authentication and account management.

3. How We Use Your Data

We use your data solely for the purpose of:

  • Displaying real-time glucose trends on your Phone and Watch.
  • Triggering alerts for high/low glucose events.
  • Syncing settings between your devices.
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal health data to third parties.

4. Foreground Service Usage

Sentinel uses a "Foreground Service" (data sync) to maintain an active connection to your CGM data source. This service runs even when the App is closed to ensure you receive critical high/low glucose alarms without delay. A persistent notification is displayed while this service is active.

5. Third-Party Services

The App allows you to connect to third-party services (e.g., Dexcom Share, Nightscout). Please review the privacy policies of these services, as Sentronica is not responsible for how they manage your data once it leaves our App.

6. Data Retention

Glucose data is cached locally on your device for performance and history graphing. You may clear this data at any time by clearing the App's storage or uninstalling the App.
